Apple announced yesterday that it will be hosting its highly anticipated WWDC 2024 event on June 10 to announce iOS 18 and a bunch of other updates for its entire product line. We have previously covered that WWDC 2024 will be special this year as it will be the perfect venue for Apple to announce its long-rumored AI features to the world for the iPhone, Mac, iPad, and additional products. Back in 2020 IllFonic released Predator: Hunting Grounds, another take on the asymmetric multiplayer formula they’ve employed with titles like Friday the 13th: The Game and Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. Somewhat oddly, the game was published by Sony as a PC and PS4 console exclusive. Despite the big-name publisher, the game kind of came and went without too much fanfare, but now it seems IllFonic is preparing the revive the game on current-gen platforms.
The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 creators CD Projekt Red have reported their earnings for 2023 (their fiscal year corresponds with the regular calendar year) and it seems it was a good 12 months for the Polish publisher. 2023 was CDPR’s second-best year ever, thanks to the sales of the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion, which managed to move 5 million copies, which is added to the 20 million in sales for the original Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR has also announced that The Witcher series surpassed 75 million units sold last year. So, yes, if you’re doing the math (75 million for the Witcher, 25 million for Cyberpunk) CDPR has now sold over 100 million games. Not bad!
