I've tried several VR boxing games, and none are better than The Thrill of the Fight. I could use some more variety in the AI opponents' fighting styles, but it feels much more like actual boxing (a hobby of mine) than any of the other games I tried, and I really like the passthrough option, which lets me see the room I'm in so I'm not worried about weaving into my filing cabinet.
With the recent Patch 7, Larian has added a great deal more content to despite the game already being massive beforehand. The biggest additions are perhaps mod support, which brings mods to consoles, and the various new endings for Origin Characters looking for a satisfactory but horrifying finale. That doesn't mean that the Belgium-based studio hasn't made time for the little things in one of its biggest patches for its golden goose, since many new, minor cutscenes and pieces of dialogue have been added to further flesh out the title.
It's only been a week since Valve officially acknowledged Deadlock's existence, and gaming's least-closed beta test is already changing quite a bit. Yesterday, Deadlock got a hefty patch that added wall-jumping and more than a hundred hero balance tweaks, because the third person MOBA shooter wasn't already complicated enough without elaborate parkour. Also included in the patch is a new profile screen, showing statistics from a player's playtime with different heroes, which—as some eagle-eyed Deadlock enthusiasts noticed—included three heroes that we can't yet select in-game: Holliday, Mirage, and Wrecker.
Every character in benefits from weapon upgrade Modules, but perhaps the best ones to farm from missions are the ones called Mental Focus. These Modules increase the Firearm Attack stat of whatever weapon your Descendant wields temporarily, giving you a huge damage buff. This enhancement stacks upon itself as well, allowing you to greatly empower a character build through multiple uses of this Module type.

The team behind Furiand Haven is back with something completely different and seriously intense: Cairn. It’s a rock-climbing simulator set on the face of a lethally steep mountain, starring an alpinist who’s determined to be the first person to reach its summit. Players can climb literally everywhere in Cairn, and the challenge lies in maintaining balance and stamina moment-to-moment. If you don’t, the climber falls and dangles on their tether, expelling a scream of frustration. It’s kind of like GIRP, but incredibly elegant and super hardcore.
