Transparent screens are coming to our devices, we're increasingly told, and it seems like it wouldn't be a modern tech show without some sort of demonstration of a see-through screen. They're pretty, that's for sure, but I've yet to see a reasonable answer to the question of why you'd want one. Lenovo, however, seems to be prepping a transparent laptop concept, which may be the most baffling potential use case to date.
This morning, the Embracer Group released its Q3 fiscal year 2023/2024 financial report. The company managed to deliver slightly above expectations thanks to non-core game divisions like Asmodee, Middle-earth Enterprises, and mobile, while the PC and console segment was down 9% due to a lighter release schedule.
The PlayStation Portal is a unique device. Designed to give you remote access to your PS5, it’s a powerful streaming gadget that lets you take your favorite games with you while away from the big screen. Equipped with a massive 8-inch LCD screen and capable of playing games at 60fps in 1080p, it’s one of the best ways to remotely access your PS5 games.
An airship crew with an unquenchable thirst for exploration flying through an endless sky: Granblue Fantasy has always had the perfect setting for an RPG, but the original mobile game only hinted at the wide open breadth and potential of its sunny world. Relink fully owns that potential, expertly capturing the feeling of going on an epic adventure with an upbeat bunch of friends. Verdant islands magically float within a sea of fluffy clouds, lush dappled forests brim with life, and mighty beasts practically beg for a heroic party to come and vanquish them.
During the Covid pandemic, sales of gaming PCs and associated peripherals went stratospheric, as millions of people worldwide not only had to work from home but also keep themselves entertained in the confines of their four walls. But since then, things haven't been so good and quite a few companies have felt the pinch in their finances. Corsair, famous purveyor of all things RGB, appears to be doing pretty well, though, as indicated by the $1.46 billion annual revenue declared in its latest financial report.
Epic Games has made hundreds of changes to Fortnite over the years, yet the battle royale game is just popular today as it was in 2017. New weapons, maps, and collaborations are released at a regular pace, making it easy to find something to enjoy while you explore its hectic world. However, the username you signed up with years ago may not be the same username you want to play with today — but creating a new account means you'll lose all your progress.
Lenovo Legion 5 | RTX 4060 | AMD Ryzen 7 7735H | 16GB DDR5 | 512GB SSD | 15-inch | 165Hz | $999.99$869.99 at Walmart (save $130)We've become big fans of Lenovo laptops here at PC Gamer this generation, and this particular budget machine is ticking a lot of boxes. For an RTX 4060 laptop it has to be under $1,000, and you also get a better than average screen, though I'm a little confused over Walmart's listing of it as 2160 x 1350 when Lenovo itself claims a 1440p panel. That 512GB SSD, however, is disappointing, even in a budget laptop, but is a cheap and easy issue to fix if it becomes annoying down the line.
