PlayStation 5 players have been raving about the second part of the FF7 remake project Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. As with the first part, it was made clear well in advance that this game would be a PlayStation exclusive at launch, however, we did eventually get Remake of the first part on PC around a year later. This gives PC players hope that the same treatment will be given to Rebirth, but the big question becomes how long will we have to wait this time? Is it possible to see it come to PC storefronts faster than its prequel, or will we need to bide our time avoiding spoilers for months on end? Sony is reportedly pausing production of the PlayStation VR2 headsets because it has a backlog of unsold headsets.
According to new reports, production of PSVR 2 has been paused because Sony has a surplus of stock that hasn't been sold. Whenever these "poor VR sales" stories come up, it leads people to question whether this niche form of gaming is actually appealing in the first place, but I think the issue goes a lot deeper than that.
OpenAI is working with a UAE investment firm, to create a deal in which the artificial intelligence research group gets all the money it needs to design and manufacture its own AI acceleration processors. With Nvidia currently dominating the market and its H100 chips in short supply around the world, OpenAI is clearly looking to join Amazon and Google in having full control over its own AI capabilities and future.
