Through obfuscating dialogue and intricate lore, weaves a complex and fascinating story. Players discover more about the Lands Between, its people, and its demigods mostly by speaking to NPCs, but their imperfect knowledge and implicit biases paint an incomplete picture. Rogues are the sneakiest class by default, but building the most effective rogue possible starts with the right subclass. Rogues are ideal for keeping a low profile on the battlefield and striking when least expected, with certain subclasses offering different skill sets that range from powerful melee to defense, spellcasting, strategy, and defensive qualities. The critically acclaimed and story-driven roguelike is filled with engaging, likable characters like Sisyphus. Players set out to escape the Underworld as Zagreus, Son of Hades, and inevitably come to know and love the many colorful personalities they meet. One of these characters is Sisyphus, a once-king punished for his attempts to cheat death. Sisyphus has been given a boulder to roll eternally up a hill, only for it to roll back down each time.
Players who have entered the service of Ranni the Witch in have the opportunity to take on a quest from Preceptor Seluvis, a haughty sorcerer who asks a potion be delivered to Nepheli Loux, another Tarnished. Selvuvis, who believes his own intellect to be far above the player character's, does not elaborate on the potion's purpose, commanding the player to follow his bidding in ignorance. Likewise, the potion is also mysteriously absent of details in its item description, but poking around Seluvis' Rise and talking to some other NPCs can shed some light on the sorcerer's machinations, and why Nepheli may have been chosen as his target.

When it comes to DLC, FromSoftware likes to make it a bit of a challenge to actually find the new content. Dark Souls was notorious for how cryptic it was to get to its DLC, but thankfully*, Elden Ring* doesn't make things quite so hard.
