With less than four weeks to go before The Final Shape—the climactic expansion in Destiny's decade-long saga—the flow of information coming from Bungie is fast turning into a fire hose. In the latest This Week In Destiny post, the studio breaks down all the perks that can be combined on Prismatic class items, the new type of exotic armor that you might recall I was very excited about when revealed last month.
It's a long-running adage among Destiny fans that Bungie does its best work when its back is against the wall. That will be of little comfort to those laid off last October at the same time as The Final Shape expansion was delayed, but as I noted last month the studio does seem to have entered one of its 'we're so back' eras.
The Bond you build between characters in can create romances, unlock side quests, and more. Gifts are the best way to deepen the relationships you have with your favorite companions, allowing those allies to give you access to new gear, weapon styles, and even skill points. The right items presented to various characters will let their Bond with you grow much faster as your journey continues.
Tormentors have stood out as one of Destiny 2's strongest and most unique adversaries since their introduction, but a pretty awesome clip making the rounds online shows how one player put the pain on a Tormentor after they managed to escape its Dark Harvest attack during the last moments of an Onslaught game. Though Destiny 2's Tormentors aren't known to appear too frequently throughout the game, these monstrous enemies have made a much more notable appearance with the Into the Light update and the various new activities it has introduced.

GeForce Now is a great way to game on a handheld gaming PC, such as a Steam Deck. You can play games that aren't available on that Linux-powered handheld. For example, Destiny 2. And usually you'll save heaps of battery by streaming rather than playing locally. What's not been so great is trying to install GeForce Now as something akin to an easy-to-use app. It's traditionally required a good deal of tweaking, and I've long wished for a GeForce Now app on Steam Deck. Thankfully, Nvidia is now going to do the brunt of that fiddling with the settings for you.
A new month is upon us, so another batch of PlayStation Plus Essential’s monthly free titles is nearly upon us. On May 7, four games will be available for no additional cost to PS Plus Essential subscribers: EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall.
The bad news? It’s the beginning of the month, so rent is due. The good news? Sony just revealed the PlayStation Plus games lineup for May, and there are some serious standouts. The lineup includes Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, Destiny 2: Lightfall and EA Sports FC 24. Most of these games are available for both PS4 and PS5, except Ghostrunner 2 which is only for PS5 players.
