Starfield: Shattered Space - Should You Kill Or Spare Vaeric?

has a number of quests in which players will need to make a difficult choice, including, as is the case with the "" quest, sparing or killing someone. In this case, it's a man named Vaeric, who is wanted dead by Viktor for being a traitor and alive by his mother, Vitoria. It's a tricky choice, especially as both sides can present compelling arguments, depending on what type of character the player is roleplaying as.

There are many memorable choices in , and this one in the relatively early quest, "", may just join that list. Of course, while some will want to pick a choice without knowing the consequences, understandably many would rather know what they're getting themselves into first. Luckily, the outcomes for each choice are straightforward, meaning players won't have to worry about weighing up complex consequences.

Once players have located Vaeric during the "" quest in, they'll need to talk to Tane first, after which they're presented with three options. If the player has decided to kill Vaeric, then there's the option of just attacking Vaeric or attacking both Tane and Vaeric at the same time. If fans choose to let Tane go, he won't join in on the fight, which will make it substantially easier, although it's not that tough even if he's involved. Once spared, Tane will simply return to his normal life, although he will inform the player he's not happy with their decision.

After the deed is done, players will then need to return to Viktor and tell him the good — or arguably bad — news. There are once again three options, with each one being a slight variation on the same dialogue choice and all of which result in handing over the signet ring. Luther will, naturally, be quite upset to hear that Vaeric is dead, and Vitoria will tell Viktor that her son's death is on
