Our reviewer Lauren Morton called Greedfall «adequate» when she reviewed the RPG from by French studio Spiders, saying its systems «parrot those of successful RPGs, but they're all a bit thin.» The studio has higher hopes for its sequel, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2024. In a first for Spiders, it'll be coming out in early access.
Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) briefly took to the stage at the New York stop of the «Festival of Seasons» Stardew concert tour to talk about his music and thank the crowd. The opening speech was shared to Twitter by Aftermath co-founder Nathan Grayson.
Previous attempts to pitch an adaptation of Fallout have apparently stalled because current rights-holder Bethesda isn't interested in a movie or TV show that retells a story the games have already told. The showrunners of the upcoming Amazon Prime TV show got around that by pitching something new, they said in an interview with Total Film. «From the first conversation with Todd [Howard] we were most excited about an original story,» said executive producer Jonathan Nolan.

So it was with Pull Stay, the game I called a «fountain of Japanese slapstick» back in 2020 when its trailer was probably the most ridiculous game trailer you'd watched that week. «Operators are only as strong as the oaths they uphold», says the official Call of Duty Twitter account, by way of announcing skins based on gothic space satire Warhammer 40,000 are coming to Warzone and Modern Warfare 3. Expect skins based on the Adeptus Astartes, Adepta Sororitas, and Astra Militarum among others, which is to say the superhuman space marines and battle sisters as well as the poor doomed ordinary troopers of the Imperial Guard. I suspect the marines will not actually be eight-feet tall, as that might make it a bit too easy to noscope headshot them.
Rustic Games BR is one of those YouTube channels with a delightfully simple niche: what would X modern game (usually a Resident Evil) look like on the PS1? Their collection of delightful little anachronisms scratches this itch in the dumb nostalgic lizard part of my brain, with their latest creation, a PS1 demake of the Resident Evil 2 Remake, being a particular winner.
