Ayaneo Kun review

The Ayaneo Kun is almost the king of handheld gaming PCs. I mean, that's what the company has been aiming for with a name like that, and it gets so damned close, but there are the little things that get in the way of me giving it an unreserved recommendation as the absolute best.

Sony's reportedly stopped making any more PS VR2 headsets until it can figure out a way of shifting a pile of unsold VR goggles

Sony's virtual reality headset for the PlayStation 5, the PlayStation VR2, is a lovely device but it has a few drawbacks. It only works on that system, there's not a huge amount of great VR games to play on it, and it's as expensive as the base console. So with sales on the decline, Sony has put a temporary halt on production, to stop its warehouses from clogging up with unsold stock.

PlayStation 5 Pro hardware leak suggests its GPU is a RDNA 3/4-hybrid design, with some big improvements coming this way

Hot on the tails of the rumour that Sony is planning on releasing its own upscaling technology, with the forthcoming PlayStation 5 Pro, comes a wealth of tidbits purporting to be what the next-gen console's hardware is going to be like. The CPU will still be the same ol' Zen 2 core, and the RAM's a bit faster, but the GPU is getting replaced with a whole new design. And it's seemingly a funky blend of RDNA 3 and RDNA 4.

Top-tier deckbuilder Balatro hits 1 million sales in less than a month, which hopefully justifies all the hours we've collectively lost to it

I don't like poker, but I love Balatro—and I mean, hey, I've at least got that in common with its creator (though I've played considerably more deckbuilders than they have). It's pretty astounding that someone with zero experience in almost anything their game is about could make such a banger, but here we are.

Stardew Valley's dripfeed of 1.6 patch notes reaches artistic levels of absurdity: 'You can now drink mayonnaise'

Stardew Valley's 1.6 update will arrive tomorrow, March 19, and may represent the last set of major additions to the game from creator Eric «ConcernedApe» Barone. Barone says to expect "a lot more… than people think" and in the runup to the patch's release has become drunk with power, posting a single patch note every day.

Elijah Wood is the Green crewmate in the Among Us TV show, and I can't be the only one who finds that a bit sus

Elijah Wood starring in the upcoming Among Us animated TV show is the kind of news I didn't know I needed. When I woke up to several messages from friends sharing the announcement, I first assumed it had to be some sort of Hard Drive gag, but then realisation set in, and my first question was: why? Followed closely by: what if Frodo was the imposter?

OpenAI hopes to break AI's reliance on Nvidia by using investment from UAE to make its own chips

OpenAI is working with a UAE investment firm, to create a deal in which the artificial intelligence research group gets all the money it needs to design and manufacture its own AI acceleration processors. With Nvidia currently dominating the market and its H100 chips in short supply around the world, OpenAI is clearly looking to join Amazon and Google in having full control over its own AI capabilities and future.
