Helldivers 2 has recently enjoyed a massive balance patch, upgrading weapon damage across the board, reducing the amount of heavy enemies in favour of more mooks, and loads more stuff I'm unable to fit into an opening paragraph.
The next patch for Cities: Skylines 2 will be Economy 2.0, which will be released in the upcoming week. But before we can enjoy everything on offer, publisher Paradox Interactive wants to highlight a couple of life-and-death issues.
Two weeks ago I was in a hotel in downtown Taipei prodding some of Qualcomm's new Snapdragon X Elite laptops, and I was impressed with how well they ran Baldur's Gate 3 and Metro Exodus. Both are compiled for the x86 CPU architecture, yet the co-created Microsoft/Qualcomm Prism emulation layer still delivered impressive gaming performance from proper PC games. And I was happy. A few days later I was happier still as I checked out the Works on WoA microsite to see about game compatibility and this is what I saw:
Baldur's Gate 3 had a longearly access period—opening its doors in October 2020 before finally dropping in August 2023, almost three years (1,031 days, to be exact) later. It was a vastly different game to what it is now. For instance, I remember my inner D&D rules lawyer being very upset that firebolt made a damaging surface—that misstep, as well as a few others, were corrected for the better, producing what I'll happily call one of the strongest RPGs we'll see this decade.

As we near the release of Starfield's upcoming story expansion, Shattered Space, players are beginning to wonder what, if anything, comes next. But instead of just opting for regular updates, Todd Howard confirms that not only is another DLC planned for after Shattered Space, but that expansions could become a yearly occurrence.
