‘I was falling asleep’ – VGC rewatches Sony’s infamous 2006 E3 show

VGC has launched our latest Patreon video series, We 3 Watch E3.

In this series VGC’s Jordan Middler, Chris Scullion and Andy Robinson delve into the E3 archives to rewatch old press conferences and analyse them from a modern perspective.

To kick off the series, there’s perhaps no E3 conference more infamous than Sony‘s 2006 effort, which ended with the infamous $599 price point for the PS3.

VGC’s Andy Robinson was there in person, and gives a new perspective on the much-memed showcase.

If it’s been a while since you last sat down and watched the Ridge Racer moment in full, or you need to brush up on your Giant Enemy Crabs, We 3 Watch E3 is the show for you.

The full two-hour-long video is available now on Patreon.com/VideoGamesChronicle. A preview of the first 10 minutes can be viewed below.

We 3 Watch E3 is available to members of VGC’s Patreon at the Insider tier or above and will be released monthly. Those in the Insider tier also get access to a bonus podcast each month and a monthly Q&A with the team.

By supporting VGC on Patreon, you can help us continue to do what we do best with breaking news, insightful reviews and thoughtful opinions, while giving us the foundation to create more of the podcasts, videos, and community features you enjoy. Soon, we’ll also be offering on-site benefits such as commenting and ad-free browsing, exclusively for Patreon members.
