Disco Elysium Spiritual Successor Officially in Development at Longdue

Today, newly established independent studio Longdue announced that it is creating a spiritual successor to Disco Elysium. Longdue already has around twelve members, many of whom worked on the highly acclaimed role-playing game made by ZA/UM, and they also have two open positions for an Art Director and a Writer. Both are enabled for remote work.

The press release outlines a broad overview of the game that sounds certainly as ambitious as the award-winning Disco Elysium. According to Longdue, the studio's debut RPG explores the interplay between the conscious and the subconscious, the seen and the unseen. Set in a world where choices are made between the character's psyche and the environment, players navigate an ever-changing landscape shaped by internal and external forces.

The game will introduce a groundbreaking 'psychogeographic RPG' mechanic, where every decision reshapes both the world and the characters that inhabit it. In this experience, the boundaries between mind and environment will blur, colliding and transforming with each choice, guiding players through an ever-evolving narrative landscape.
