After a lot of wrangling with regulators, Microsoft recently spent $69 billion-with-a-b to acquire Activision Blizzard, after which it almost immediately cut 1,900 jobs across its gaming business. Not great news for anyone, unless perhaps you own MSFT stock. In an interview with Polygon about the driving forces behind layoffs at Microsoft and across the industry, Xbox boss Phil Spencer pointed the finger at—well, really, just capitalism in general.

Somewhat oddly, the game was published by Sony as a PC and PS4 console exclusive. Despite the big-name publisher, the game kind of came and went without too much fanfare, but now it seems IllFonic is preparing the revive the game on current-gen platforms.
New Console Updates Rolling Out to Xbox Insiders
Xbox has released a new Insider update for Beta, Delta, and Omega members that fixes a dynamic background bug and improves local language use. While this Insider update might not seem particularly exciting, Xbox has recently released interesting patches for the program.
New RPG Cancels Switch Release
The developers behind Broken Roads have confirmed that the Nintendo Switch version of the game has been canceled. Drop Bear Bytes recently gave players an update regarding its upcoming turn-based, post-apocalyptic game Broken Roads, confirming that it will not be brought over to the Nintendo Switch. Broken Roads was intended to launch on the Switch alongside PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on April 10, 2024, but there now appears to be no plans to bring the game to the Nintendo console. Broken Roads will also be launching on PC through the Epic Games Store, Steam, and GOG.
