Back in 2011, Sonic Generations came up with a unique idea: combining Sonic’s classic 2D side-scrolling self with his modern 3D self. That made for a fun mix of two distinct kinds of Sonic levels. The Xbox Games showcase has, altogether, been a pretty good showing from Microsoft—Game Pass is going to be getting a new Doom, Gears of War is making a comeback, and Dragon Age: The Veilguard got a trailer. I mean, the tone's sort of off, and the characters are introduced like bootleg Borderlands bad guys, but I've still got my fingers crossed tight. A wonky trailer isn't an indication of much other than a slightly-scuffed marketing effort.
The patch notes for the latest version of are finally here and players can anticipate plenty of new features as well as an expansion to one of the game's most interesting factions. During Microsoft's June 9 Xbox Showcase, the company dedicated a decent chunk of the presentation to Bethesda's sci-fi RPG, going so far as to provide players with some major insight into the game's future, including a release date for the DLC. That's still a while a way though, so in the meantime players will be able to explore the galaxy with The Trackers.
Replaced reminds of me a lot of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, in a good way. Ninja Theory’s latest was a visual spectacle with extremely cinematic combat and gorgeous setpieces that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. While Hellblade 2 did that with Unreal Engine 5, Replaced is going to do that with pixel art.
