, the long-running post-apocalyptic franchise's online multiplayer title, has seen a major resurgence, largely due to the success of Amazon's TV series, and tie-in promotions that gave the game away for free to Prime Gaming subscribers, or at a heavily discounted price to other players. With the game's player base larger than ever, now's a perfect time for Bethesda's latest update to the game, which expands the map and adds several new features.
This is not a drill: Team Fortress 2 has received a brand new update in 2024, and fans are ecstatic, despite the patch notes themselves being very brief.
Since our last content update, players unshackled themselves in the Iron Gambit Battle Pass, slew through Survivor’s Bane, and showered themselves in rewards from the new Event Center cycle. Valheim developer Iron Gate Studio have been teasing the new Ashlands biome for a long time, since early 2023 at least, and lo and behold, it’s finally arrived! Right alongside Skyrim, Fallout 3 is one of the most modded games of all time. Bethesda took this series and transformed it into an open-world adventure that had never really been seen up to that point. As much as there was to do in that base experience, there was a limit to what could be done. However, dedicated fans didn’t let that end their fun and began modding the game with new features, quality of life improvements, and new content to extend the life of Fallout 3 to the point where you can still play it today and have an amazing time. Now that modders have had well over a decade to work with the game, there are potentially thousands of mods you can try out, but these are the best ones we’ve found.
Modern PC gaming is a true sky-is-the-limit world that never rests. Believe it or not, one adjustment to something as innocuous-sounding as “frame rate” could make all the difference the next time you fire up Call of Duty.
