Yesterday, during Sony's State of Play, KOEI TECMO announced Dynasty Warriors: Origins, the next chapter in the long-standing 1v1000 action franchise.
The recently broadcast State of Play event in May 2024 revealed several upcoming games for PlayStation consoles, as well as updates on titles that had been announced before. State of Play is Sony’s main event format for all things PlayStation and, every so often, the company hosts a short presentation focusing on games coming to PS5. Some State of Play events focus on a single title, while others are broader and present multiple titles and even news about hardware. This is expected to be a minor presentation for Sony ahead of its rumored participation during Summer Game Fest next week.

Earlier this year, Sony announced a remake of the cult-favorite narrative horror game Until Dawn from Ballistic Moon, a new studio founded by veterans of original Until Dawn creators Supermassive Games. The game is being developed with Unreal Engine 5 and will feature a fully controllable camera rather than the old-school fixed angles of the original game. Valorant studio head Anna Donlon says Riot Games is taking new steps to address toxic behavior in the game, and delivered a pointed message to the most egregious offenders: «If you need to make truly evil statements under the guise of regular shit talk to enjoy gaming, then please play something else.»
