One of the biggest changes made by Blizzard to Overwatch 2 is the switch from 6v6 matches to 5v5. However, a sizable amount of fans of the original game remained vocal about reintroducing 6v6 in some form, and the developers are taking that feedback seriously.

Blizzard Entertainment might test out a 6v6 format after removing it ahead of Overwatch 2‘s launch, although nothing is set in stone just yet.
Blizzard has provided an update that will be music to the ears of many Overwatch 2 fans. The publisher plans to experiment with a range of team compositions beyond the role-locked 5v5 format that the game currently has. That includes a potential revival of six-player teams from the original Overwatch.
