Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty game will be Black Ops 6. The publisher updated the website for the military shooter franchise to reveal the title, promising that “official lines of communication have begun,” which essentially means the game’s marketing is shifting from teaser mode to slow-trickle reveal mode.
I really thought Activision and Microsoft would drag it out at least until June, but nope, one day after launching a not-really-cryptic teaser site at thetruthlies.com, it's official: Call of Duty is going back to Black Ops.
The first footage for the game has been revealed, and as is to be expected, the fanbase has opinions. Through various rumors and leaks, it's been well reported that the next entry in the series will be the sixth in the line, taking place sometime in the 90s around the Gulf War.
