Today, during the Xbox Games Showcase 2024, Obsidian Entertainment did not announce the release date for Avowed, its first-person action RPG for PC and Xbox Series S|X, which remains slated for a generic 2024 window. However, at least we got a new trailer.

Deck13 had promised new content and enhancements for its action RPG Atlas Fallen, and the German studio has now shared more details. The free Reign of Sand update is slated to launch on August 6, adding new voice acting by the talented Ben Starr (who played the protagonist in Final Fantasy XVI), a new area, new enemies, 25 new Essence Stones, new progression mechanics, quality of life improvements (chiefly to the camera, but also balancing and onboarding), the much-requested New Game Plus mode and a new difficulty mode called Nyaal's Nightmare.
A new graphic update is incoming in 4.8, according to new leaks about the next patch. Even though the popular action RPG’s Version 4.7 has just started, several pieces of information about the next update are already being shared as the beta tests for the upcoming content have started. For now, players should have their eyes on the brand-new Archon Quest, the addition of the Imaginarium Theater, and several other events in the current patch, in addition to the new characters in 4.7. Nevertheless, teases about the next patch seem very enticing.
Update - June 8: Black Myth: Wukong developer Game Science has confirmed in an FAQ dated June 8 that the Xbox version of the upcoming Soulslike action RPG has indeed been delayed due to quality concerns, which certainly reads like a nice way of saying the Xbox Series S, the weakest system on the platform list, is struggling to run this thing. Heading into my demo of Metaphor: ReFantazio at Summer Game Fest Play Days, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to glean much from 45 minutes of playtime.
