In just a few days, Final Fantasy 14 will play host to the Final Fantasy 15 collaboration event, which will run from February 28 to March 13. Originally launched in 2019, the collaboration event between Final Fantasy 14 and Final Fantasy 15 last appeared in Eorzea in 2021, a few months before the launch of Endwalker, and gave players a chance to claim some rewards based on Final Fantasy 15.
Bandai Namco has officially released the first trailer for the long-awaited Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, set to launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X on June 21. Elden Ring first released in 2022 to rave reviews and fans have been waiting for new experiences in the Lands Between ever since.
The classic Star Wars: Battlefront games are coming back in a blockbuster collection later this year. In 2004, Destroy All Humans developer Pandemic Studios released the original Star Wars: Battlefront, which allowed players to recreate famous battles from the Star Wars movies. A sequel was released the following year to coincide with Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, adding content from that movie as well as playable ship battles in space.
The latest Grand Theft Auto 5 update has removed a useful feature from versions of the game that run on older consoles. Publisher Rockstar Games announced the move in advance and provided players with instructions on how to save any data related to the feature.
Paradox Interactive has announced a two-month delay for Prison Architect 2, with the management sim sequel now set to release on 7th May as developer Double Eleven opts for «extra time to identify more bugs and further optimise the game».
Hidetaka Miyazaki didn't envision originating an entire genre. Yet such is the popularity of the Dark Souls games — right up to the more recent Elden Ring — that they've become collectively known in the gaming community as Soulslikes. That's shorthand for games with calculating combat, high levels of challenge and repeated death, though this is of course reductive of the awe and grim majesty Miyazaki's games evoke.
Elden Ring DLC expansion Shadow of the Erdtree finally has a release date: 21st June.
