Scammers have resorted to selling CPUs without dies, as a well-known Korean overclocker has discovered

Scammers are among the lowest forms of life, but they can be crafty. In recent times there's been an increase in the number of scams that try to rip people off by selling expensive items without the things that make them expensive items. Fake RTX 4090s are just one example. After all, it's the chip under the hood that actually makes products like the RTX 4090 or i9 14900K. Take that out and you're left with a whole lot of nothing.

All four modern Fallout games catapulted into the most-played games on Steam Deck this past month

It's no secret that the Fallout show was a big success, with Amazon saying it was the streaming arm's biggest hit since The Rings of Power, with 65 million viewers. It's also no real secret that successful videogame shows make people want to play the games, but it is pretty cool to see how many go and do just that: This month's little Valve survey of what people are playing on the Steam Deck shows all four modern Fallout games taking a top 20 spot for most-played by playtime.

Oh god, no—stalkers in Helldivers 2 are actually invisible, now

A major Helldivers 2balance patch dropped earlier this week—stuffed so full of weapons tuning and adjustments that most divers (fittingly) glossed over one crucial, yet sneaky change: «Fixed issue where Stalkers became very visible in fog.»

Ex-Lego game devs formed a new studio to explore a completely different genre: Funko Pops

The Lego games developed by Traveller's Tales—Lego Star Wars, Lego Marvel, all of those—are held up as some of the best examples of family-friendly licensed games. Super Rare Nintendo DS Pops Up at Auction

An incredibly rare Nintendo DS is being auctioned off, and it could sell for over £15,000. The Nintendo DS was first released in 2004 as the successor to the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and evolved the Big N's classic handheld formula by including a second touchscreen that players could use for hit titles like The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Pokemon Black and White. While it was eventually phased out in favor of the upgraded Nintendo 3DS in 2011, the original Nintendo DS remains one of gaming’s most well-remembered portable systems, with several of its past exclusives being released on current hardware to this day.

Did you know that Helldivers 2 has a mission where you get to raise the Super Earth flag? I did, but I sure as liberty haven't ever done it. Not because of an absence of patriotism, you understand, but because it only ever popped up at lower difficulties.
