Modders are achieving justice for Persona 3's missing female protagonist in a way that's only possible on PC

Persona 3 is a strange beast. All its best parts are scattered across a bunch of different versions: the epilogue is only available on the PS2 FES version, while the alternate female protagonist (FeMC) and all her new social links were restricted to the PSP-only Portable version of the game (so too were party members you could directly control in battle; the AI-only party members of the PS2 games were a constant headache).

Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader gets a 'gargantuan' patch that makes over 1,800 changes to the game, in an overhaul so drastic it gives you a free shot at respeccing your party

I was excited about Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader when I previewed it in 2022, but the final product left a lot to be desired, according to Jody's review. The game's sweeping sci-fi drama was undermined by tedious combat in which «there's never one interesting tactical battle when there could be three samey ones to grind down your resources,» he lamented, while the experience was further hobbled by an infestation of bugs.

NYT Connections today: answers and hints for Tuesday, February 20

Connections is the latest puzzle game from the New York Times. The game tasks you with categorizing a pool of 16 words into four secret (for now) groups by figuring out how the words relate to each other. The puzzle resets every night at midnight and each new puzzle has a varying degree of difficulty. Just like Wordle, you can keep track of your winning streak and compare your scores with friends.

D&D Lego comes full circle by rendering the tabletop game's deadliest block in brick form: The dreaded gelatinous cube

We've come full-circle—or full cube, as it were. There's something about this recently-announced set by Lego ideas that's tickling my poetic sensibilities. It's a block, represented by blocks. Now we just need a Minecraft mod porting this exact set inside it, and we'll be three meta-layers deep.

Reddit's set to rake in $60M per year in a deal with an unnamed AI company to train future models on its 20 years' worth of user generated content

If you've ever posted to Reddit there's a good chance you're helping train the next generation of AI models with your own words, pictures, and memes, because the company's selling access to its 20 years' worth of content for a reported $60 million. I mean, chances are you've already been used to train AIs given that Reddit's already featured pretty heavily in the training data for a bunch of different large language models (LLMs) and image generators, but at least now someone's getting paid for it.

PlayStation Decade-Low Profit Margins Worry Analysts Amid Runaway Game Budgets

Sony’s most recent earnings report wasn’t a great one for the previously-strong-seeming PlayStation brand. As we reported, Sony downgraded their fiscal year 2024 (which runs from the beginning of April 2023 to the end of March 2024) target for PS5 sales from 25 million to 21 million. They also admitted that no major AAA franchise entries will be published over the course of this coming fiscal year. Needless to say, this wasn’t received that well, partly leading to a plunge in Sony stock that subtracted an estimated $10 billion from the Japanese company’s value.

Baldur's Gate 3 player beats the game in Honour Mode by exclusively casting one of the worst spells in D&D 2,469 times

Dungeons and Dragons fans could argue forever about which spell is the worst in the game, but it's generally agreed that True Strike is a contender. The cantrip grants the caster an advantage on their next attack roll, meaning you sacrifice your current turn for a better chance of hitting your target in the following round.
