Thanks to my job here at Digital Trends, I play a lot of games. Just this year alone, I’ve played over 130 new releases that launched in 2024. Part of that is simply because it’s my job, but I’m also the kind of person who likes dabbling in as many games as possible to get a wider picture of the video game landscape. Continuing a trend of deceptively important blog posts, Bungie shared a laundry list of buffs aimed mostly at Destiny 2's Titans, with a few trace Super and ability changes also coming to the less punchy classes among us. Titans, as it happens, are becoming less punchy, but also – and this is the important part – more punchy. The class is, quite simply, getting some of the most interesting buffs in the history of this MMO.

This model is fitted with an RTX 4080 which is the best mobile GPU for most people, with a great mix of gaming performance, efficiency, and thermal headroom. Basically, you don't need the vast cooling the RTX 4090 does to stretch its silicon legs in something like the Acer Predator Helios 18. That CPU is a beast for both gaming and productivity work and, while the screen isn't quite as bright as the mini-LED model, at 500 nits it will be plenty bright enough for all those beefy games you will be playing.
With the upcoming release of BioWare's , a beloved but distant video game franchise is yanked back into the current console generation, and spoke with game director Corinne Busche ahead of its release. From first blush, the new game's combat and feel proved immediately immersive during my hands-on preview, aspects which Busche describes as a deliberate focus over these past four years of development. This world of Thedas may be fondly familiar to many, but how those players interact with feels meaningfully new.
Sony drops a big batch of new games into the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium Game Catalog around the midpoint of each month. The latest set of games for the subscription service dropped on September 18, and it was a fantastic group of titles. From games that launched right into the service on day one to ones getting PS5 ports right after an appearance in the critically acclaimed Astro Bot, there are plenty of awesome new games to choose from if you’re looking for something to play this weekend on PS Plus.
