This week’s Epic Games Store giveaway has been changed.
Epic Games Store has quietly scrapped the plans to give away three classic Fallout titles over a seven-day period starting February 22, opting instead to extend that offer to Super Meat Boy Forever. Such last-minute free game lineup changes are highly unusual for Epic Games Store.
Epic Games Store gave away a total of $2,055 in free games last year. Launched in 2018 as a competitor to Steam, the Epic Games Store has become a major player in the games sales business. Millions of people have become users of the platform, which has released exclusive games like Alan Wake 2, and Assassin's Creed Mirage. But as well as securing the latest releases, the Epic Games Store continues to give players several free games.
Alan Wake 2 has sold 1.3 million copies to date, Remedy Entertainment has confirmed.
Remedy has confirmed plans to grow and expand the Alan Wake franchise following a successful launch for the second mainline entry in the series.
Starting February 22, Epic Games Store users are free to claim Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel completely free of charge. Most of the time, the Epic Games Store gives away one or two free games per week, which makes the announcement that three Fallout games will be free next week all the more exciting.
The Epic Games Store’s next free titles have been announced.
A number of Sea of Thieves fans believe the latest tweet from the game’s official X account is hinting at upcoming PlayStation and Switch ports.
