AMD will reportedly stop supporting Windows 10 starting with its new Strix Point APUs and you can all blame AI for that

According to a post on Weibo (via WCCFTech) by someone reportedly affiliated with Lenovo China, AMD is not going to be providing any Windows 10 drivers for its new chips, starting with the upcoming Strix Point APUs. That will effectively cut AMD processor support for the popular old operating system around a year before Microsoft itself ends Windows 10 life support.

AMD continues to chip away at Intel's CPU market dominance, though the laptop market is still a tough market to crack

Intel has long held a commanding market share lead over AMD, but ever since the launch of first generation Ryzen CPU family in 2017, AMD has slowly been chipping away at Intel's lead. Aside from the disruptions caused by the pandemic, AMD's server, mobile and desktop sales have been on an upward trajectory for many years, although Intel still maintains a large lead in all three categories.

A Dragon Quest fan remake 11 years in the making is available to download for free, and it adds 6-8 hours of new content

As someone that got into Dragon Quest relatively recently with 2018's Echoes of an Elusive Age, I've long looked for an excuse to play through the game that started it all. Don't get me wrong, I own the game on Switch and have dumped a few hours into it, but it all just feels a little... before my time. It's rudimentary, a little janky, and a tad grindy for my liking, but I absolutely respect it for kickstarting one of my favorite franchises.

This Lenovo gaming laptop made no sense at full price, but now the Legion LOQ is under $700 it's actually a flat out bargain

Lenovo LOQ | Ryzen 7 7840HS | RTX 4050 | 15.6-inch | 1080p | 144 Hz | 8GB DDR5 | 512GB SSD | $1,099.99$699.99 at Best Buy (save $400)When I reviewed this exact Lenovo LOQ laptop I wasn't totally blown away because at the time it was retailing for full price. At $1,100 it's a lot of money for such a machine. At under $700, however, it's a bit of a bargain. I can overlook the 8GB of RAM considering it's simple to upgrade, and the same goes for the 512GB SSD when there is a spare M.2 slot inside. That 95W RTX 4050 compares surprisingly well with the RTX 4060, and the AMD Ryzen CPU is excellent. This is a great little budget machine at this price.
