There's been plenty of controversy over AI deep fake videos and the digital necromancy of dead or aged actors (mostly in Star Wars), but how about taking that one step further? The company DeepBrain AI will collect audio and visual recordings of a loved one and then create an interactive AI version of them for you to speak with once they've passed.
Ubisoft wants investors to know that it's still all-in on the AI-generated NPCs thing, according to a recent Q&A session (which you can access on the Ubisoft website). Fielding queries after a financial report, CEO Yves Guillemot insisted that there's still a bright future for uncanny NPCs delivering awkward and stilted performances with precious little intention behind them.

The Italian Soulslike game Enotria: The Last Song has had its release date moved again. Originally slated to launch on June 21, it was first delayed to August 21 because of the nearby launch of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
Dead by Daylight fans can check out the Dungeons and Dragons chapter starting today, but Behaviour Interactive teased another high-profile crossover during an anniversary showcase on Tuesday. A Castlevania chapter is on the way to DbD. There aren't any details yet about what that will include, but you just might get to play as Alucard or Simon Belmont in the fog. Behaviour plans to divulge more info about the Castlevania tie-up, which will arrive later this year, in August.
The Tomb Raider series that was first rumored more than a year ago is now official: Hot on the heels of its hit Fallout show, Prime Video has formally unveiled plans for a new series based on the Tomb Raider games.
Fans of giant shoulder pads and yelling rejoice: Games Workshop's Skulls event is back for another year on May 23, with the promise of plenty of new reveals for Warhammer videogames. A showing for the upcoming Space Marine 2 and something new for Boltgun seem to be the focus, but we're also promised news on Rogue Trader, Total War: Warhammer, Blood Bowl 3, Tacticus, Battlesector, Warpforge, and Darktide. I'm sure there'll be at least one or two surprises we've not been let in on yet too.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 just passed a significant development milestone: Tom McKay, the actor behind main character Henry, has wrapped dialogue recording after a staggering 508 hours in the studio across 127 sessions.
