Silent Hill 2 Remake Will Require Over 15 Hours to Beat; First Review is Very Positive
The Silent Hill 2 remake will require over 15 hours to complete, according to one of the game's very first reviews.
Japanese magazine Famitsu reviewed the highly anticipated remake launching next week on PC and PlayStation 5 in this week's issue, awarding it a 35/40 score (8/9/9/9), which is a little higher than the score the magazine awarded the original game (32/40). The review praised the sense of realism brought by the beautiful visuals, the game's unique atmosphere, revamped puzzles that feel more mentally taxing, and combat. The review also confirmed that it will take between 16 and 18 hours to complete the game for the first time, which is almost double the length of the original, so it will be very interesting to see how Bloober Team expanded the original.

As already mentioned, the Silent Hill 2 remake is about to release on PC and PlayStation 5, but a release on other platforms is not to be ruled out. Last month, it was confirmed that the game developed by Bloober Team will remain a PS5 exclusive until October 8th, 2025, so there's a good chance it will eventually launch on Xbox consoles and possibly the Nintendo Switch 2.
