Round three of Reddit versus the movie industry ends in yet another win for the social network site, because the First Amendment didn't suddenly change overnight

Persistence is an admirable trait, or at least it is when you know the result is not only achievable but a worthwhile accomplishment. But when two film companies tried once again toforce Reddit to provide IP addresses for anyone discussing piracy on the site, despite having tried twice before to no avail, you'd be forgiven for thinking they must have something special to bolster their case this time around. Sadly for them, it turns out the First Amendment isn't just something you can bypass through persistence.

GPU leaker is claiming RDNA 4 engineering samples are boosting between 3 and 3.3GHz. Remember when AMD said that about RNDA 3?

Another week, another new GPU rumour! Travelling through the hallways of the web is a claim that AMD's forthcoming RDNA 4 graphics chips will potentially be running at a clock level much higher than we've seen before from Team Red. Specifically, the claims suggest the higher-end version of the next-gen GPUs can boost up to 3.3GHz, a full 20% more than any RDNA 3 chip on the market.

Not this Acer model and you're getting an awful lot of monitor for very little money. Curved screens aren't to everyone's taste, though, and it won't have quite the same color reproduction as an IPS panel.

One memory to rule them all? New 'superlattice' material promises an efficient world of universal memory

Ever wondered what the perfect memory chip would be like? Well, it would have to be faster than the best DRAM, store data for decades at a time so it could be used like flash memory, and use less energy than both for high efficiency. That might sound like a pipe dream but a team of researchers has developed a prototype material that could be the stepping stone needed to make it a reality.

AMD isn't alone in the Easter egg silicon doodle market, chipmakers have etched hamburgers, zombies, Smurfs, and even Groucho Marx onto their products in the past

Remember the story from last week about the image of a revolver and map of Texas, etched into one of the layers in AMD's old K7 chips? Not surprisingly, it isn't an isolated example of silicon shenanigans, as uncovered by a fan of chip easter eggs shows in an awesome compilation of processors, controllers, and memory die shots. Ducks, zombies, sharks, and dragons rub shoulders with the Playboy logo and a guitar-playing T-rex.

Google has updated Chrome with three AI tools for sorting tabs, making new themes, and writing text for you

The use of generative AI, machine learning algorithms that can produce images, text, or even sound, is rapidly spread across the software industry. The likes of Photoshop and Windows, plus countless others, all now sport a simple button that claims to magically do things that we simply couldn't do before. And now it's the turn of Chrome, as Google has added three AI tools to its browser, though only for US folks at the moment.

MSI apologies and releases new BIOS files for its slow RTX 4070 Ti Super GPUs, thanks to being 'unwaveringly committed' to performance

Reviewing graphics cards is hard work. It consumes hours upon hours of your time, running endless benchmarks, often with multiple runs to double check results are as they should be. This is what our Chris had to go through in his MSI RTX 4070 Ti Super Ventus 3X review, especially since the card didn't seem to be meeting performance expectations. It turns out that this was all down to a dodgy BIOS that MSI hadn't checked properly before releasing the card for testing. Well, it's done the right thing by issuing an apology and providing a new BIOS to fix the problem.

Lenovo Legion Go | 8.8-inch 1600p 144Hz | Ryzen Z1 Extreme | 16GB LPDDR5x-7500 | 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD | $699.99$649.99 at Lenovo (save $50)Lenovo's handheld PC is as powerful as they come and boasts a luscious, big screen. The detachable controllers are really sweet and one can even double as a mouse, albeit a very basic one. It is huge, though, so not the most portable of devices and games with fancy graphics will struggle with native resolution.
