Microsoft Flight Sim's free DLC finally adds what we've all wanted: giant mechanical dragonflies, decolonisation, and the chance to win a magical floating Xbox controller

We're all a bit iffy about flying Boeings ever since that plane had its door ripped off, so why not try an alternative? For instance, the gargantuan mechanical dragonflies that dotted the skies above the Butlerian Jihad of 200 BG to 108 BG? Those have so many moving parts that could go horribly wrong that you probably won't even think about the doors.

World of Warcraft's subscription is about to get almost 3,000% more expensive in Argentina—and it'll 'only get worse with inflation'

Last month, Argentinian World of Warcraft players found a nasty surprise in their inbox—an email from Blizzard announcing two separate price hikes to their World of Warcraft subscriptions, making the game prohibitively expensive. Firstly, though, some context is in order.

Deus Ex seems deader than ever as Adam Jensen actor reveals Eidos asked him years ago 'to stop talking about Adam Jensen'

It hurts to say it, but Deus Ex seems deader than Beth DuClare right now. While I hope the once and future king of immersive sims won't stay down for long, the layoffs at Eidos Montreal and cancellation of an upcoming DX project have made the series' future seem bleaker than ever. But according to Elias Toufexis—the instantly recognisable voice of Human Revolution and Mankind Divided protagonist Adam Jensen—things have been bleak for years now.

After years of anonymity, gaming's most famous but least recognisable voice has broken cover to chat PEGI 18, AI acting, and his €200 paycheque

If you've ever watched a game trailer in Europe, you've almost certainly heard Richard Wells' voice. He is, in his own words, «the guy who says 'PEGI 18' on all of your video games,» which is to say he's the smooth baritone that lets you know a game's age rating right before its trailer plays; the British equivalent of that ESRB guy who says "product not yet rated" before E3 trailers. He's ubiquitous but—until he became a TikTok sensation—anonymous, and it turns out he only made €200 (£170) for his work.

You can pick up Dead Island: Riptide free to celebrate Dead Island 2's inevitable hop to Steam

Here's my toxic trait: I get annoyed when games aren't on Steam. Not for any principled reason, not because I love my Steam Deck (though I do), and not even because Steam—per our own ranking of the PC's many launchers—is the best client of the bunch. I just don't like my collection being scattered all over various different clients. It feels like having all your games on one shelf in your living room but being compelled, by some mysterious force, to occasionally go and put some of them on a different shelf upstairs. It's not right, it's unnatural, and I shan't have it.

Dead Cells is calling it quits 7 years after its meteoric early access release

Seven years after its early access release and five years after Evil Empire took the reins from the original devs at Motion Twin, Dead Cells is hanging up its spurs. In a statement earlier today, Evil Empire announced it «will no longer be working on Dead Cells» following a half-decade of work on the game. A corollary statement from Motion Twin declares Dead Cells' upcoming update 35 «the end of our creative journey on the game».

Diablo 2 speedrunner effortlessly trolls audience by breezily selling ultra-rare rune it's taken others 20 years to find

Your wedding day, the birth of a child: life is full of precious moments, but let's be real, nothing compares to the narcotic thrill of trolling a helpless audience. No one knows that better than Kano, a Diablo 2 Resurrected speedrunner who recently subjected his viewers to emotional whiplash so severe it was probably illegal.
