Subnautica devs have been sneaking screenshots of the upcoming sequel into existing time capsules, and they finally got caught

We haven't heard much about the upcoming Subnautica 2, apart from the devs reassuring fans that it won't be a live service game, so fans are understandably excited at the discovery of secret new screenshots of the sequel.

Fallout: New Vegas designer slams unrealistic release dates that 'burn out and demoralize the developers' as he shares tips on how to spot when a game needs more time in the oven

Game development is a tricky business, and one consequence of this is that games often take longer to make than anticipated. The nature of the creative process means such delays are not always avoidable, but according to writer and designer Josh Sawyer, known for games like Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, and medieval detective sim Pentiment, there are ways to identify when a game is going to get kicked down the calendar, and therefore set better expectations to avoid unnecessary stress, and overwork.

This $1,500 gaming PC is what I'd personally buy today if I were looking for an all-AMD build

Skytech Eclipse Lite | Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RX 7800 XT | 32 GB DDR5-5600 | 1 TB SSD | $1,599.99 $1,499.99 at Amazon (save $100)Skytech has some great offerings around the $1,400 — $1,700 price point. Unfortunately, its RTX 4070 Super build is sold out, but this RX 7800 XT one is cracking value. The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT performs slightly worse than the RTX 4070 Super but has more VRAM for longevity and compatibility with more VRAM-intensive titles. Combine this with 32 GB of snappy DDR5 RAM and the best CPU for gaming currently on the market, and this Skytech Eclipse Lite build is a wonderful deal.

Remnant 2 announces plans for its 3rd DLC: The Dark Horizon—and it'll be chucking in a free game mode and 'progression system' to boot

Remnant 2 rules. I've not talked about (or played) it in a while, mind, but that's because it's not a game that overstays its welcome, nor does it string you along with battle passes and endless mandatory FOMO grinds. It's just a very competent, imaginative soulslikey shoot-'em-up ARPG that sees you gunning through multiple worlds, packed with some excellent build variety.

MIT researchers create a super-fast, super-tough, super-slidey transistor and claim that in '10 to 20 years from now could change the world'

A small team of researchers at MIT's Materials Research Laboratory have developed a transistor that's just as good as those used to make flash memory chips, but with the added advantage of not wearing away with use. Instead of the usual silicon-based engineering, this one is made from a ferromagnetic material.

'It's a soccer ball': Modders are already correcting Fallout: London's local lingo one sport at a time

After four years in development and one mod-breaking Fallout 4 next-gen update, Fallout: London has finally been released. Players flocked to the DLC-sized mod over the weekend, and despite some difficulties installing it, many are currently exploring everything that this new wasteland has to offer.

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford says he hasn't 'done a good enough job of hiding' the studio's next project, pretty much immediately confirms it's Borderlands

Borderlands is a funny old series—one I have plenty of affection for, clumsy story aside. Its formula hasn't changed much in the past few years, ignoring the industry landslide of looter shooters all becoming live service games in favour of your bog-standard ARPG model, sans some expansion packs and class additions along the way.

Intel has no plans to recall those crashing 13th and 14th Gen CPUs, hasn't halted sales, and the damage to affected chips may be permanent

If you're an Intel chip owner affected by CPU crashing issues, you'll likely have been pleased by the official news from Intel last week that it was going to be delivering a microcode patch to address the root cause of exposure to elevated voltages.
