Sand Worms Are Coming To Starfield Thanks To Spectacular Dune Mod

is getting a brand-new type of creature soon, thanks to an ambitious mod. is a mod that aims to transform the planet McClure III into the desert planet Arrakis from Frank Herbert's universe. The mod wants to do more than just some cosmetic upgrades, focusing instead on completely overhauling the planet.

The mod's creator, questionthis, has confirmed on Reddit that sandworms are coming to the mod in a future update. The iconic megafauna is based on the vanilla game's Larva creature and isn't quite ready to be deployed in the mod yet: ""

Once all the bugs are ironed out, the mod will pit players against the giant enemies, who will have the ability to chase the player and burrow under the sand. Sandworms on Arrakis in are known to be attracted by rhythmic sounds, swallowing anything caught on open sand in worm territory.
