Players will have the opportunity to travel across the map to continue their journey, where players can choose to rescue government forces during Missions and successfully complete Skirmishes. Once completing these missions, players will also be able to find various locations to purchase weapons, as well as encounter a variety of characters that have appeared in the Dynasty Warriors franchise previously, such as Cao Cao and Liu Bei. Depending on the choices you make, these characters can either become a companion or an enemy.
There will be different ways that players can carry out battles, especially in 1 vs. 1,000 combat, where players will have to figure out how to use powerful attacks to break their opponent's guard while also keeping themselves safe by learning how to parry. By mastering these skills, players will gain Rank, which will further improve the skills that they utilize. There will be additional tactics that players can utilize, which can be used to command allies and coordinate the battles while also being able to form a "Large Force" by gathering a large number of soldiers to work with you.
